The '4' part of the Discovery's name refers to the fact it's the fourth version of a car that has improved in giant leaps since 1998. The latest Discovery looks much like the third edition, but it's actually in a different league for cabin quality. What's more, the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine is a real gem, it's powerful yet quiet and very smooth. Land Rover calls its Discovery 'the world's most versatile car' and it's hard to fault that claim. Of course, you'll pay handsomely for that versatility, but few cars combine off-road prowess with practicality and luxury feel the way the Discovery does.

seems like a good vehicle, but that is not what i would call "loads of space" maybe that is a huge car for europe, but here in america, that land rover is tiny compared to our chevorlet suburban
