@TeamflightstoppersND Nothing is forever, things are constantly changing, evolving, moving forward..It's called progress! And you and I can't stand in the way..your experiancing growing pains..don't fight it son.Thank god for the NCAA! No people should be used as mascots! Why not change your name to the "invading pioneers" or "Engelstads German Raiders!" that way you can keep your logo and just paint a schutzhelm over the war bonnet.

The teams UND plays against will always turn it into a racial issue! were sick of being mascots and targets of racist bigots, which is what we will continue to be if all the Indian nicknames don't disappear. Honor some other ethnic group and leave my people alone!

feb 10-11 hockey series,UND vs Minn Deluth...Minn fans chanting; "hi HOW are you?" and "Smallpox Blankets"...and the old trusty "war whoops" noises. How is this NOT racist? It's 2012! backward ass North Dakota...of course all the kuchen and sauerkraut eatin sonsofbitches are gonna vote "yes" to keeping THEIR racist nickname. Leave the Indians alone and change your name to something all you white folks can relate to and have PRIDE in...and hope the black athletes don't get interested in hockey!

If you haters dont know anything about und let me tell you the word PRIDE is the first word any und athlete will tell you about being apart of any und team. They are extremely proud to be called the fighting sioux and are extremely proud to not only represent the school but the tribe alike. it is a disgrace that the ncaa would put these sanctions on und and they should be fined and penalized for this malarkey.
