@GenerationVictory When America nuked the two Japanese cities they killed 140,000+ innocent people. Another 2 million died in the next 5 years. They have bombed civilians of Chile in 1973, and killed 50,000 Vietnam war and killed millions N. Korea and killed? millions Libya in 1987 and killed 15,000 Iraq and have killed over a million Afghanistan and have? killed 300,000 palestine and killed millions They disregard human life for victory. Yet their acts are not terrorism?

And a good job he did...
This life is easy. But it's easier to make it hard.

Its always easier to be the general after the war isn't it? And Arafat didn't get it alone, he got it as a part of a trio who made a great step at the time towards a peaceful middle east.
Do you always try hard to simplify it like that or do you just do it because it's easier? Why don't instead try to put yourself more deeply into what the issues are about and then evaluate the world from that instead of picking up these easy talking points?
-
Yeah, just like they did with Arafat.

He "dosen't" have a year, yet he has managed to win the nobel...curious, isn't it?
For such a go getter it's more than enough time we'd see some results...

All are quite important steps alone but combined they are powerful. Especially coming from the "leader of the free world". Now, you can as I did, claim that it is to soon. But what you cannot do is claim that it is without merit. To understand the cataclysm of change we now see in the US Presidency. You only need to see that the US now for the first time in decades fulfill their funding obligation towards the UN. Bono in this regard is almost meaningless. He counts more as a lobbyist.

No I listened carefully. He didn't say he was shocked. He said he was surprised. And he said that he felt that he didn't deserve to stand in the same lights as Mandela, etc. There is a difference. But I understand what your saying.
But lets sum it up what he got the award for.
1.Diplomatic effort towards multilateralism, moving away from unilateralism.
2.Reaching out and strengthening the bonds between religions.
3.Work against proliferation of nuclear arms. US-Russia in special context.

*cont* We have a saying here, don't complain if you don't have the answer to the problem yourself. So can you point to someone who has done more to achieve a more calm and peaceful world than Obama?
-
Why do I have to keep explaining this to people. Its not just about "talking", its about following up what you say you want to do. Its about giving momentum and supporting achievement. As a Norwegian I got to say I'm surprised how badly the phundits misrepresent this award. And what it is really for. There is a notion out there that Obama has done nothing to deserve this award and the committee are fanbois. These are very senior politicians and know what their doing.

i hope he wins the cy young award, because that will encourage him to maybe become a good pitcher.
Americans, there's your "lost" Federal Reserve money...
