That's what everyone with common sense would do. But in reality what you're doing is loosing nutrients from the potato. If you peel it before cooking you will leave the potato exposed in the water without its skin which surprisingly does not carry the vitamins and minerals but instead it acts as a barrier to protect the potato. Then all the water soluble nutrients will just get absorbed by the water and will go down your sink , so you're practically eating an empty potato.

This is not fast...

@bloodreighn That's why most people like watching Anime with subtitle better than dubtitle.

@InfomercialRemixer But who eats a potato raw? I mean this would be great when making something like mashed potatoes or potato salad. Not so great for french fries.

So just get a pot and fill it with water and let it boil (judging by the amount of water they used that should take 4-5 minutes to boil), put potato in the water then let it boil for a bit, then prepare ice water with lots of ice cubes, then remove the potato from the boiling water and plunk into the ice water, wait for a few seconds then remove and take 10 seconds to peel off the skin. So in total it was at least 10 minutes to peel a single potato.
Yeah, I'll stick to just using the peeler.
thats pretty frickin awesome
