  • Beautiful...just beautiful...stay strong to your culture Fiji...you are one of the many people that never back down, you are proud people, full of hope and build bloody good rugby players...cheers.

  • I am a Samoan myself and I love old Polynesian songs like this one here. I have a some old school Samoan songs and others from other Polynesian Islands. It doesnt matter what language the music is in. It makes me cry, being born in Samoa but as a baby brought to the states, I have an absence of culture. I have made it a goal to return to Samoa one day and stay attached to my roots. This is a good video and I love the song. Stay attached to your roots my friends and appreciate the old school.

  • This is just beautiful

  • Love all versions. It was a white mans tune deported to Tonga then later adopted by Fiji and later adopted by Samoa. Malieee South Pacific!

  • I wonder when this photo was taken.

  • As my Fijian mother would say "Isa my lei ! This takes me back" Thank you for sharing.

  • onz caaa! vinaka !

  • I like the Fijian version but imma stick with the original from tonga. Lol. Much love to nah Fijian tokouaz though. And if I happen to offend anyone with my comment, I apologize.

  • @F1J1SON -- no, not at all.....am 50% vanua levu, 50% tongan from tonga, have no Lauan connection, what-so-ever. Am proud to be part of 2 distinctively beautiful ethnic groups. Also proud to be a pacific islander...thanks for asking....cheers!!

  • @opopo6 Actually before the missionaries arrived all of the pacific nations were independant warring tribes who fought against each other and part of that culture was putting your enemies down. Thats why many of the pacific islanders were cannibals to take a defeated foes mana. but also the haka, cibi and other war dances were performed to terrify the enemy. And the "Dele" or "Wate" womens dances in pre european Fiji, were performed to belittle the enemies.

  • @MakeupBummsxx ..don't worry mate..lol..you're always part of it :-)...polynesian and rest of the pacific islands are members of one big happy family.....let's just all get along like brothers and sisters do, eh! I'm mixed fijian &tongan.....common on guys, life's too short to be racist and arrogant....love your neighbor just as you love yourself...love you all my brothers and sisters....

  • so back to the sonq, this is the 1st time i heard th Fijian version. I think its the oriqinal before th tonqan one ? But yeah, meaan jamm.
