I would go with a BWD if not going with a Ac Delco OEM, I got BWD coil packs and they been working good. You might not have a Standard brand ignition module there but mine has the blue rubber terminal covers. Original is like a orange color, 1997 Saturn Sl2 209,500 5 sp manual.

That looks like a Standard brand ignition module, not to make ya worry rich but I had one put on my saturn and It went within less than a year, had them get me another one unopened, i installed myself and here it went in just a little over a year, I went back to my Gm original and its still working, out 260.00 that they racked me plus labor and towing (385.00).

This video saved my hash today, when my ignition module went bad. Thank you so VERY much!

first start by taking note of which plug goes where before removing plug wires from the module
@richpin so the spark plugs is connected to the spark plugs wires to the ignition coil

Hi Rich,
is there any way to test just the module? similar to a Ohm test on the ignition coil?
Im in the process of trouble shooting my sisters car GM 3800 and would like to know when im trouble shooting.
Thanks
