When I was a post-doc in the Physics Department at Syracuse in 1973-75, David was kind enough to let me fool around in the studio as much as I wanted. I learned a tremendous amount from him, and it's wonderful to see him in this video, looking just a bit older, but otherwise very much the same.

What beautiful work! David was my ceramics teacher at SU from 1973-1977. At that time the work he was doing was mostly centered around the platter and I haven't seen any of his work since then. I loved watching the creation of the work for this video; texturing and shaping still on the wheel. Beautiful!
