I've been keeping the stuffing in the turkey my entire life & not once gotten sick.

We prefer the mantra: “Better safe than sorry.” Food-borne illnesses from improperly handled foods are no joking matter. The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service and the Centers for Disease Control both warn against the practice of leaving stuffing in a turkey.

if the stuffing is being cooked with the turkey then all the bacteria is cooked . especially since it takes way longer to cook a turkey then stuffing and all the juices and blood are cooked too if theres any bacteria left then the turkey most likely isnt done.

Why is it that every time I try to find the right place for the thermometer the instructions are to put it in the thigh but the picture shows it in the damn breast!?!?

I am so frustrated with that. I just want ONE place for ONCE to SHOW where it goes EXACTLY and match where they SAY it goes. GRRRRR

I don't think this person knows what a thigh is, he checked the temperature in the breast. Really cool.
