  • Sorry, but haven't people from all over the world been playing the music of composers from all over the world for MANY HUNDREDS OF YEARS? I don't think this has anything to do with globalization, and jesus christ, a person's nationality, ethnicity or gender has NOTHING to do with their ability to play music. This is one of the beauties of the arts, right?

  • well said sedelman2.

  • are you all seriously discussing politics? Are we listening to the same music?

  • @ninjakid165 oversized orchestra - romantic era :P

  • @mpmcd81 Pardon me for living, but what does the unmitigated bullshit you vomnited up have to do with Dvorak's Symphony #8 in G? Can't you conservatives simply appreciate beautiful music?

  • Thats alot of basses...

  • Nice performence

  • @noirvalentin Pure aesthetics ;)

Obrigado.

  • @mpmcd81 Oh. Sorry. I'm still kinda young, so I haven't really formulated any political opinions yet, but I have read a lot about the political history of the US. Anyway, I love classical music- and i'm guessing you do too.

  • @quantumphysicsmaster The comment was made in response to someone who had brought it in to the discussion and had done so with an overwhelmingly liberal slant. The point is that Republicans don't care what color people are and the poster had made a totally unfounded claim that conservatives and Republicans believe that cultural differences make it impossible for, say, the Berlin Philharmonic to embrace the music of say, Shostakovich.

  • @mpmcd81 Politics has no place in beautiful classical music, so I don't think your comment is necessarily relevant.......but I agree that "good music is truly colorblind"
