Holy shit... I havent looked over this video in a long time.. Its got over 30,000 views, and all my aim was to *try* to upload a video to YouTube.

This shows a very realistic reconstruction of the crash from 1.14 to 1.45. I have never understood why the pilots did not attempt an emergency land at point 1.23 on the flat fields which are right beside runway 26R for some 1 mile long. Instead they risked flying a crippled aircraft to Le Bourget airport which was some 5 km away?
Even if they reached Le Bourget by that time the essential parts of the plane were evaporated so they could not have landed anyway so it seems a pointless decision!

maybe the gouverment will vote so she can fly the skys one day ? After all the crash in paris was not the concorde's fault ! ( like the crash from AF 447 Rio- Paris)

It flew for 2 years after before being retired for cost reasons. Nothing to do with safety as some morons will say.
