University of Florida Taser Incident (taser portion)

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Video of police Tasering a persistent questioner of Sen. John Kerry became an Internet and TV sensation Tuesday, generating fierce debate about free speech and the motives of the college student involved — a known prankster who often posts practical jokes online.

University of Florida President Bernie Machen said Monday's takedown, in which the student loudly yelled, "Don't Tase me, bro!" was "regretful." He asked for a state probe of campus police actions and placed two officers on leave.

True that man. He was in the right to ask. You see a cop grabbing for his Taser the of course you are going to yell don't tase me. It didn't really look like he was resisting a whole lot so it's not suprising that officers had to go on leave. Didn't really deserve a Tase. Maybe a warning from officers first may have been good.

They drive stunned his shoulder to cuff him. If you watch, you see he was grasping a bolted down chair and rolling so they couldn't cuff him without force, so instead of using force that could hurt him, they warned him several times then drive stunned his shoulder for a few seconds while cuffing him.
