GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Video of police Tasering a persistent questioner of Sen. John Kerry became an Internet and TV sensation Tuesday, generating fierce debate about free speech and the motives of the college student involved — a known prankster who often posts practical jokes online.
University of Florida President Bernie Machen said Monday's takedown, in which the student loudly yelled, "Don't Tase me, bro!" was "regretful." He asked for a state probe of campus police actions and placed two officers on leave.

I'm trying to think of it both ways here if George Bush, or Dick Cheany was speaking and someone goes in and acts like that yeah he deserved to be tased. It doesn't matter whose speaking here dems or reps he was out of line. All he had to do was stop resisting arrest and he would of been fine. He was being loud and obnoxious and had plenty of chances. Well deserved, he should also get peppered spray.
Couldn't pepper spray him because he's in a crowded room. That would effect everyone. Other options would have been much more physically dangerous for him. Taser was the proper call, especially since thaey spent at least a minute warning him that he'd get tased if he didn't stop fighting.
oh my god before I read this post of yours on the "don't taze me bro" video I said the exact thing to a guy it was dinojr80 but I went into detail about all the reasons it was not protected under freedom of speech and how the cops acted in the proper manner so I am glad there is one person in this forum as clear thinking as me kudos to you really
This is some funny shit. If you live in america you should know talking loud and not cooperating with the cops will result in DONT TASE ME BRO. rofl haha
it was a question segment not a rant segment therefore he was not following the rules set forth second that was either a school or a city building I can't remember which but either way it is not a public place therefore he did not have free speech nor would it be protected under that civil right so he broke the law when he did not leave as asked then resisted arrest so he got tazed good he needed it the law is clear if you read all of it
