  • If Lewis had fought Tyson in 1988 he would be just another nameless terrified looking black dude getting knocked the fuck out on a Tyson highlight video.

  • People seem to forget that lennox is the same age as tyson, and was not in his prime either. Although lennox at 35 was more game than tyson at 35. I still think if the fight took place 10 years earlier lennox would win. Too tall, too strong, too smart.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat I've been a boxing fan for over 11 years. I've talked to other hardcore boxing fans about this. Tyson was not an inside fighter. He was a mid-range fighter. It's a fact. Most of his knock outs came from mid-range, you can see that in a lot of his knock out victories during the 80's. Holyfield and Lewis knew that Tyson was a terrible "inside" fighter, and that's why they would fight him on the inside. Tyson was a very good fighter, but he was flawed.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat You're saying that I don't know what I'm talking about, because you don't have an argument against what I'am saying. I know you've noticed Tyson's "inside" game. It's terrible. You can most hardcore boxing fans. "Inside" fighting is a lost art-form. Tyson would create distance with his head, so that he can knock out his opponents from mid-range. Tyson was a mid-range fighter, not an inside fighter. That's why he lost to Holyfield, because Holyfield was an inside fighter.

  • @Transformers217 Used his head to create distance? Deep down even you must know you don't know what you're talking about.

Holyfield tied him up on the inside to stop him using his inside game, therefore nullifying his main strength.... Lewis used his length to keep him at range and tied him up on the inside for the same reason. That's how you had to fight Mike. Everybody knows this shit, even people who think he's overrated.

  • @Transformers217 You're very clearly a very part time boxing fan who assumes you know what you're talking about. We all now how debatable Tysons place in history is and there are a lot of good arguments against his legacy but yours isn't one of them.

Stick to Transformers, computer gammes and anime, leave boxing for boxers.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat In Tyson's prime, he never fought great fighters like Holyfield and Lewis. And if he did, he would of gotten knocked out. Holyfield was too much "man" for Tyson. And Lewis was vastly superior to Tyson in every way. Lewis had the height and reach advantage. He had the better defense, he was faster, and he was stronger than Tyson. I know people like to focus on the myth of Mike Tyson, but let's look at the reality. Tyson was overrated.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat Wrong, you're just focusing on the myth. Look at Tyson in his prime, he wasn't a good inside fighter. He would even use his head to create distance between him and his opponents. He hated fighting on the inside. That's why Evander Holyfield stayed close to Tyson, and knocked him out. Lewis did the same thing. But in his prime, Tyson was a mid-range fighter. Look at all of his knock out victories, they all came at mid-range. Tyson never fought a great fighter like Lewis.

  • @Transformers217 Tyson wasn't a good inside fighter and was mainly a mid range fighter? That's how he looked in his decline, and it seems that's how you're judging him but that's not what he was at his best. At his best he moved his head, used his aggression and got inside range QUICK. He was solely an inside fighter. Lewis would have come up against the exact same problem everybody else did... you couldn't couldn't keep him out. He was IMO too slow and methodical to counter Tysons aggression.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat I disagree. Lewis was one of the most skilled, and incredible fighters in the history of the Heavyweight division. Tyson wasn't even a good "inside" fighter. Which is why Holyfield, and Lewis were able to beat him, because they smothered Tyson on the inside. Tyson was a mid-range fighter, not an inside fighter, and that was his biggest flaw.

  • @senorbigfart When Mike was in his prime, Lennox was still an amateur and Evander was still a cruiserweight. OF COURSE TYSON WOULDA MURDERED THEM. Lewis and Holyfield weren't ready for Tyson yet. Unfortunately when they were ready for Mike Tyson, Mike had already self destructed before they could expose his weaknesses which existed even in his prime.

  • @Maxshard If Tyson didn't act like such a total retard before his fights I wouldn't have a problem, if he is going to talk big he needs to back his shit up.
