  • This is called "Caravan," an old jazz standard. Thanks for posting this. He is one of my faves.

  • Thanks for the title. I saw this on Hee Haw and was blown away by how clean his string work was. Roy Clark is one of the under appreciated musicians. Truth is many country music stars do not get enough credit for the amount of talent they have. thanks for watching and taking the time to clue me in ;)

  • No shit his technique is about as flawless and clean as you can get!!

You can hear every single individual note he hits on everything I have ever heard him play.

  • The only thing this man can't do is suck. He's A-mazin'!

  • This man can play a guitar par excellence..!!!

  • @trauts01 I am guilty of that myself. Never liked country music-period. One night, I watched Chet Atkins and Roy Clark on Hee-Ha. I will forever tip my hat to these men.

  • Fantastic performance by Roy here!!!

  • man so clear so flawless cant be beat. roy is great. i watch him on hee haa on rfd tv.

  • love that Roy! also love that Byrdland!

  • @bergerfry I fully agree on the Chet Atkins opinion. No doubt Chet's a great guitarist, buy to me he seems very precise but at the same time robotic in a way. Roy on the other hand has so much personality in his playing, he puts HIS brand on every thing he plays.

  • @bergerfry So was Jerry Reed, Johnny Gimble, and Eldon Shamblin. And Let us not forget Les Paul, Merle Travis, Joe Maphis, Lester Flatt, Grand Pa Jones, Doc Watson and Willie Neslon. There are many others but these are some I also think where and are still among the greats.

  • That man is a musical phenominon! Incredible technique!

  • You see all these post on you tube about all these guitar players being the best, and nobody ever mention's his name. if it has i string he can play it. He is one of the best

  • I've been surfing Chet Atkins and Roy Clark for a lot of songs now and I can honestly say that they are equal. I hear people say Chet is the best but Roy sure has me fooled on that score. Damn he's good. They both are amazing but there is no best.
