When having repairs to your home done after hurricanes always ask for the contractor's license. Then call 850-375-2901 to confirm the number is real. Also ask if there are complaints against the contractor and if they have been resolved. TIPS AND COMPLAINT FORMS: http://www.miamisao.com/services/hurricane/tips.htm

  • I have a Cal. constractors license but rarely see people asks me if I'm licensed or not. It's often deisadvantage having one because they think licensed are more expensive, of course because we have more expense, mandatory to follow.

Some guys advertise themselves on the paper they are *not* licensed and seems to be getting good business from that.

If you are thinking about getting one, my advice is "Don't". The chance of getting caught is extremely small.
