I think it's needed to be able to work with VST plugins.

You don't need wine for other stuff.

@idunnomuchboutmusic im pretty sure nobody at linux would hate you if you distributed songs with their samples in it, i did it and i'm hate free :) lol and you cannot record audio into LMMS, you'll need something else like Audacity to do that then you can import it into LMMS. personally i wouldn't recommend LMMS for vocal editing/mastering because it's very difficult to do since there's not many audio editing options.

i must say i love LMMS however i cant understand why it must install the windows emulator "WINE" when its compiled for linux, you have any clue about this?

@spulkagent47 To quote the Mythbusters: "When in doubt; C4!". Therefore, you must play a C4 chord, preferably in a major 7 chord for massive damage, and don't forget to watch those basslines while you're at it!
