As explained to you, Here in America, civil unions and domestic partnership are recognized in certain STATES. They are NOT recognized in FEDERAL gov't. DOMA prohibits the federal gov't from recognizing gay/lesbian relationships.

My wife and I have discussed this and we will do everything in our powers to guide them - attend church as a family, possibly put them in a Christian academy, teach them the foundations of a family and, pray to God that they observe and listen
