A couple of days has gone by and most of this mess has died down. Well nobody's talking about it anyway. Joe has left the beating up to Kevin, Kevin doesn't want to talk to Nick at all. Kevin hasn't look at me straight for days and neither has Nick. The girls and I went out wedding shopping for Kris' dress. Emily wandered off on the other side of the boutique so Kris found the opportunity to talk with me.
Kris: Have you and Kevin talked yet?
Me: No, He won't talk to me after that night just past the gravy and if I'm lucky a goodnight.
Kris: Has he kissed you yet?
Me: No nothing at all he stays on his own side of the bed and everything.
Kris: Has he asked you to marry him yet?
Me: First of all, random. Second of all why would he, after all the fights we've been having. He's probably thinking of ways to leave me and that's why he's been so quiet.
Kris: Did you tell him that Nick started it?
Me: yes
Kris: Did you tell him that you didn't kiss back?
Me: yes
Kris: Well then you have nothing to worry about. He's probably just processing everything that has happened and before you know it all is back to normal.
Me: I hope your right
She started to try on dresses and decided that we weren't having any fun so she made us try on dresses to. Emily and I felt silly trying on these big frilly wedding dresses when we weren't the ones getting married but we were having fun. It was the first time in a while. Suddenly Kevin walked in because the boys had been next door together (as much as they didn't want to be together) trying on suits. They were ready to hit the next place and Kevin decided that he should tell me that they were leaving which was the first time he had cared to do anything like that in days.
Kevin: *looks up and see me in the wedding dress, his eyes sparkling and he takes a gulp* um we're going to the next store. I'll see you later.
Me: ok
Kris: *hitting me in the arm* did you see that.
Me: see what
Kris: He looked at you like he saw you for the first time. It's a good sign. I knew this was fun.
We finished up in that store and went to another. She's very picky and we ended up at a lot of stores but she finally found the perfect dress. After we finished up shopping we went our separate ways. I was afraid to go home just for the simple fact that I didn't want to get my hopes up that Kevin would acknowledge me twice in the same day. I got home and he wasn't there yet so I decided to cook dinner. Just as I was finishing up Kevin walked in the front door. He came in set his stuff that he had with him down and walked over to me and without a word took me into his arms and kissed me deeply. I haven't felt him kiss me like this in a long time.
Me: *as he pulled away* What was that for?
Kevin: I just wanted to show you how much I love you. I know I have been distant lately but I realized that you didn't do anything wrong and I had nothing to be mad at you about. It killed me when I realized how bad I was treating you.
Me: Ok, so what snapped you out of it.
Kevin: You looked so beautiful in that wedding dress. I couldn't stop thinking about you.
