chargers are to damn heavy ..a charger r/t 06-08 5.7liter V8 340 hp weighs 4,268 lbs and does 0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds a stock 2005-2008 Ford Mustang GT coupe 4.6 liter V8 300 hp weighs 3,450 lbs and does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds stock for stock a gt can dust a charger r/t anyday in a drag race btw i like the old chargers of 68-72 but these big ass 4 door family cars from 06-08 are an injustice to the charger name.. i'm glad i bought a 2006stang gt instead of a 4 door heavy ass family car

Actually, mustangs ate electronically governed at 145. Not 130.

@MrHookups09 I've had my 06 gt well over 140, actually it was still pulling when i let off the gas

We should ALL be happy to see such a wonderful return of muscle again, no matter what manufacturer, as long as well all agree it's to destroy rice!

you guys are stupid YES the charger magnum and 300 are all heavy but have you ever drove one i use to be that same hater until i drove one and found out for myself the stock 06 mustang vs stock 06 charger is an even race yes the mustang gets to 06 first but the charger get to 100 faster they (lx platform) dont grab well until about 40-45 then its bye-bye and top end the R/T will leave the mustang that tops out around 130 or so when you can go 142 stock in a charger i have done it in my 05 magnum

@k1whiterussian , Technically par for par each generation, The camaro is better.

They have the challenger they made the charger for a family car for those guys who are die hard v8 fans, the charger is decent for what it is.

yes its his fault that his reation time was good and the charger's was terrible. Yes what a cheater. YOU ARE STUPID

yea i agree completely. the charger is just too heavy, I own a 2005 mustang and i its too heavy as well. The 4 door was a mistake that dodge should have never made. It truely is a disgrace compared to the old chargers and does not deserve the same name.
Part of the reason, aside from weight, that the Charger is kind of a slow steamer is the way Chrysler has tried to make it so hard to modify anything. Now that the Diablo's been out for awhile it should be lots easier to make a more lively vehicle out of it. I may seem biased, being a Charger owner, but I like the new model Mustangs alot. Cross-brand hating is really kinda ignorant. - Nice vid by the way.
