The Duluth model is a commonly used reference tool used by various agencies, including government, which asserts that men are violent and aggressive towards women and dominate women in society. This model is applied to all men regardless of upbringing or circumstances. This film examines this model to see if the idea that only men are violent and that women are perpetual victims holds water.

Your assertions that no men work in DV shelters is incorrect. Boys over 12 are also allowed in many shelters. I have been in DV shelters where I have seen male workers and male children. These statements are incorrect. These are lies.

"I have been in DV shelters where I have seen male workers". Then they were undoubtedly doing work that no woman could be found to do i.e a difficult or technical job. I'm sure the women in the shelter were moved a safe distance away from them, while they worked.

"...and male children". Irrelevant.

Erin Pizzey should be highly respected by all men who believe in true fairness between the sexes.

If only society had listened to Ms. Pizzey and Ester Vilar back in the 1970's our world would be much better for it. Both of these fine women received death threats for telling the truth.

@Edbrad So what you and countless others are accusing God of doing is not God, Jesus or the bible, but various man made rules, laws & customs. Just as God did not TELL man to make or keep slaves, it was man's idea. God worked within that framework because this was & still is Satan's world. God gave laws on more humane treatment of slaves than was generally given at the time. Just as the "eye for an eye" law was meant to Limit violence, to repay equally instead of killing as the norm was.

@Edbrad Once again, it's only "sexist" by the modern definition, not throughout all human history. The bible reports on what PEOPLE were doing at the time, including various customs and rituals along with their beliefs. God worked within that framework that MAN created, not God or the bible itself which is just reporting the times. Just as it was a custom for a man to have a child by his wife Sarai's handmaiden Hagar. GOD did not tell him to do this, this was a MAN made custom.

By definition what you are saying is sexist. I have no idea what you think sexism is, but that is not what the word actually means. The Bible does treat them as less than human, it treats them as property. That is why the crime of rape is treated as a crime of theft. If you rape a virgin you have stolen the fathers property and by law MUST MARRY her. Just one example.

Wha?? Did you just hear yourself? Not sure what sexism means to you but its doesnt mean that to anyone else. The Bible treats women as objects, as less than human, as property. That is a fact that can easily be demonstrated simply by reading the thing. Only occasionally does it say something that could be considered nice about women.

But even in the occult it's taught that the woman was 'strangely attracted to the serpent" but they think that's a good thing which is why they reveal it so freely since she was given special secret/occult knowledge by said serpent they teach.

If you're saying that using Biblical iconography doesnt make any sense if youre a feminist when the Bible is extremely sexist towards women, then okay. But if you're making a case against women based on the Bible then you're as crazy as any of they are.
