Rosa Wol, 21, soprano, sings "Tzur Mishelo Achalnu" - Traditional Sabbath Canticle in Hebrew. Its old tune is known also as the Ladino-Sefardic "La Rosa Enflorece" or "Il Bilbilicos", or the Turkish love song "Yastayim".
Here in the YouTube, bonnila74 marked the melodic similarity to a traditional Tajik song - Han Chinese Song - Why is the Flower So Red. Although certainly not similar as the origin Ladino-Sefardic-Spanish "La Rosa Enflorece" - there is a certain similarity in a melodic-pattern in the Tajik song, which is based on the same modus / scale.

  • search: Tajik / Han Chinese Song - Why is the Flower So Red

  • I've heard it and favoured it. It is beautiful. Although there is a similar melodic pattern (based on the same modus / scale) it is not the same melody. The roots to the traditional Hebrew canticle are based many centuries ago in the Ladino-Sefardic-Spanish love-song "La Rosa Enflorece". I'm willing, though, to mark the similarity of the melodic-pattern, in my info.

  • it is a traditional tajik song.

  • Not that I know of, but if there is a similar melody - like the Ladino-Sefardic-"La Rosa Enflorece" (or: "Il Bilbilicos") or the Turkish "Yastayim", mentioned in my information-section, please let me know where I can hear it in the YouTube, and I'll add it to my info.

  • איזה קול יפה!! וביצוע מהמם, כל כך מרגש!!

    המון תודה!
