Demi: (Grabs her arm) No!
Selena: (Sits back down) Okay
Demi: You need to forgive Nick too you know.
Selena: I know.
Demi: Then please go do so.
Selena: I cant right now.
Demi: Selena, whats wrong? What arent you telling me?
Selena: (Sighs) Im pregnant.
Demi: (FLASHBACK)
Demi: (Putting her books into her locker) This is it.
Selena: Hes coming Dem, are you sure you want to do this alone?
Demi: (Looks down) I have to. I dont have any other choice. I need to tell him we cant ever be together and that Im pregnant.
Selena: Ill just be down the hall, okay?
Joe: (Walks over to him, scratching the back of his neck) Hi
Selena: (Flashes him a comforting smile, she looks back at Demi) Right down the hall.
Demi: Thanks Sel.
Selena: (Hugs her, then walks down the hall).
Joe: Ive missed you, Demi. Where have you been?
Demi: Ive been home. Joe, we need to talk.
Joe: Yeah, we do. Ive been worried sick about you. You didnt answer my calls, you never answered the door, the only reason I knew you were even still alive was because of Selena.
Demi: What did she tell you?!
Joe: Nothing. Thats just it. She wouldnt tell us anything.
Demi: Its because I asked her not to.
Joe: (Confused) Why would you do that? Did I do something wrong?
Demi: (Looks at him in the eyes) Joe, I need to tell you something.
Joe: (Smiles at her) Of course, anything.
Demi: (Her eyes start to fill with tears) Joe, Im pregnant.
Joe: (Utterly shocked) Youre what?
Demi: I can explain, Joe. Cody--
Joe: (Upset) You had sex with Cody?! YOURE PREGNANT WITH CODYS BABY?!
(END OF FLASHBACK)
Selena: Demi?
Demi: (Forces a smile) Thats great Sel.
Selena: (Subtly rolls her eyes) Yeah, great.
Demi: Wait a minute, does Nick know?
Selena: (Nods) I told him right before he told me about, you know
Demi: Oh.
Selena: Demi, Im sorry.
Demi: Why are you sorry?
Selena: (Looks down) Because my baby was conceived
Demi: (Whispers) The night mine died.
Selena: (With tears in her eyes, she nods)
Demi: Selena, dont cry. Everything happens for a reason.
Selena: I know. I just dont know what to do.
Demi: What are you talking about, what to do? Youre keeping that baby Selena. You and Nick are going to be great parents.
Selena: Im putting it up for adoption. Im not keeping it.
Demi: (Takes Selenas hand) I can tell this isnt what you want. I can tell by the look in your eyes that the only thing that is going to make you happy is to make a family with the man you love.
Selena: (Puts her hand on her belly) Weve apparently already started.
Demi: (Giggles) Now, Sel. You have to forgive Nick. You love each other too much to stay apart.
Selena: I know. Thanks, Dem. Now you can tell me why you did this.
Demi: (Starts to get tears in her eyes)
Selena: Is it because Joe wouldnt forgive you?
Demi: (Mumbling) Something like that
Selena: Demi, please tell me. What happened?
Demi: (Sighs) Well no, he didnt forgive me
Selena: (Looking at her, waiting for her to continue)
Demi: He moved on.
Selena: (Confused) What do you mean, he moved on?
