This is awesome! The "Swedish" sounds more like Yiddish though. (Or maybe a cross between English and German, with Slavic suffixes and a hint of Swedish prosody...)

My mom saw this as a freshman in college, at the end of a short course on Bergman. She and her friends realized it was a parody pretty quickly and started cracking up, but some of the seniors in the audience who hadn't taken the class looked like they were ready to kill them for laughing at a "serious film."

They used to show this at the old TLA (art house) cinema on South Street in the '60s, often between the films at Bergman double features. Haven't seen it since. Still funny.
