ok. so i have a beat on audacity, and im on my laptop, and i wanna record my voice(rap) on that beat, but i want to hear the beat wen i rap. so i play the beat and record my rap, but the beat records itself wen i rap with my voice, how do i get the double recorded beat out

I have a song and I want to put a sound effect (a whip sound) into the song on top of the music with Audacity ,but when I try it, the music stops then you hear the whip sound and then picks back up with the music, I need the whip sound on top or at the same beat of music, do you know ? Need Help!!!

If your mic is not showing you it might be disabled or muted in audio settings?

When you export to mp3 Audacity mixes all tracks down into one.
