Max Out uTorrent Download Speeds

I have based this video around the bittorrent client µTorrent (v.1.8).

Make your torrents download at a higher rate!
Using some useful settings found from some other sources on the web, i just put them all together in this one video.

Another thing that i stupidly forgot to put on vid was that port forwarding is neccessary for you to use uTorrent at its max potential (if you have a router/combined).

To do this just go to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

Select your router and go to the program uTorrent on the list below and follow the guide. It's that simple!

When downloading torrents disable windows firewall!

Your max d/l speed will also only be below your upload speed.
Do a broadband speed test at: http://www.speedtest.net
Use firgures from here for Speed guide figures in your client.

@BN3Sketman If you're still getting slow speeds then just delete utorrent preferences in application data. Google it. Anyway the best way to get fast speeds is just read the setting up guide on the uTorrent website. It is very simple and easy and requires no patch.

Agreed, although these settings are based around an average upload speed for most of the uk. Also it has been said in the utorrent forums that hacking the max no. of simultaeneous connections can also be a benefit to speed.
