@Ashtor3th I think infected anal gland secretions take the cake.

I want this vet.Free.Oh goodie.

LOL. I work for a hospital that offers these complimentary exams... People often expect to receive free services when it comes to diagnostics and preventive care. It's a vicious circle..our clients are suffering because of the economy and want free things because they can't afford the services...but it takes 2k a day just to break even at our hospital (overhead, medications, supplies, equipment and staff pay..) so if we want to stay in business we have to be careful how much we let go for free

@MsGiardia First of all, I don't associate with people who breed cats and/or dogs. Secondly, I never claimed to have a better education than a veterinarian - you pulled that idea out of your arse. Lastly - I did get the video. All I did was point out a negative experience that I had with one vet who chooses to give out those free coupon visits, and a bunch of people made ASSumptions and accusations, while ignoring what I actually did say. My vet charges less, period. The other vet sucked.

@CheekyThrill I can see that your time spent owning, fostering, and rescuing has given you a significantly better education than a veterinarian. Next time you should visit your neighbour who breeds cats and dogs, she'll tell you what's wrong with your pet for a fraction of the cost! PS - You may have missed the point of this video! :)

@CheekyThrill If you truly are a nurse AND a med student then your current position and your future career as a Single Species Doctor will be supported by the insurance industry. It is also apparent that you have never been self employed or managed a business where you made the decisions about money. For the sake of your future patients, assuming you really are a med student and actually succeed in obtaining your MD, I hope your bedside manner is better than the attitude you are showing.

Anal Gland secretion is worse when it gets you in the mouth.... Blech!
I also work for an animal hospital that has a free exam and office call coupon. Many people do seem to wait until their pets is extremely ill or have a huge list of medical problems that have been going on for weeks. The paying customers usually have a long wait so we can fit in the free visits. Probably 50% of the free coupon users expect the lab work and medications are going to be free as well. I know the economy is bad and people have money issues but so does the animal hospitals.

If there was really a coupon that offered all of that, I would LOVE to know where to get it.
