Chevy's Volt is one of the most anticipated cars of 2010. It's a front-wheel-drive five-door hatchback that is propelled exclusively by electric motors, but it's also equipped with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that's there to generate additional electricity for extended trips. When the Volt's battery is depleted, the gas engine goes to work, feeding the electric motor like an onboard generator.

  • @telj1 yep, just like they quietly withdrew their initial claims of 300 mpg once people realized it was bs.

  • @MisterHolaMan with a government rebate... making it around 30 grand.

  • @jdcha9164 wrong.

  • heat testing is good, high temps here in Arizona can make it hard on any vehicle.

Nov 2010 is getting close and GM is right on track.

  • Fuck prius, I'd buy volt.

  • @jgto17 and it doesn't sound gay.

  • Remember when it was supposed to be the 2008 volt? Then the 2010 volt? and now on CNN GM said they expect to produce this car in 2012 to 2014 if government stipends to help lower the price come through. So basically they are expecting the federal goverment, to give GM $15 - $25K for each volt sale, and if that does not pass they may not put it into production? The car looks like a mutt from a prius - insight - focus sex party.

  • I'd rather have a fast car, screw fuel economy.
