Concert Info:

Historic show at the Royal Albert Hall, professionally recorded and filmed but shelved for several decades. Released on the 2003 official dvd.

But the Zeppelin forte, the closing 20 or so minutes were still to come and when it did, such was the rapport that when on How Many More Times, Robert Plant sang I" want you all to put your hands together..." the audience en masse had done so before he'd finished the request.

Strutting about the stage with arrogance, Plant is a most accomplished performer, drawing from the finest blues/soul-shouter traditions with a confidence out of line with his inexperience previous to Led Zeppelin.

His control is masterful; so much so that when he dragged out the lyric "I've got you in the s-s-s-sights of my gun," hesitating dramatically over the "s," the crowd was shouting back and filling in the missing word. (more)

  • its good to hear this again as I was there and remember it well. this was after about after 2 and a bit hours of a three hour concert. most people were standing up after 40 minutes.

  • @Pepper2Jason Look on the Audio options menu on DVD 2 on the LZ dvd, the intro is looped there

  • They don't have all this in the led zep dvd.

  • History for the ages

  • is there a recording of thank you from this concert? i cant find it anywhere

  • No it was fully recorded, it just become lost or broken... Like Heartbreaker, they couldn't found the visual footage, but they did found the audio, but the people cut it and you could hear it, because of the warp, why they did that? It was the 70s... Their equipment isn't everlasting, they had to go back and reload so they can go back to record.
