This video is about BR / LNER / GER M15 2-4-2T Holden F5 steam locomotives which brings you the memories of these obsoleted steam locos, Holden F5 were the steam locos which they served Epping and Ongar Railway for many years ago, both Holden F5 and F4s' nickname were "Gobblers", sadly, the last F5 was withdrawn in 1958, so none of them survive. As the former Great Eastern Railway and London Underground's Epping Ongar Railway branch was closed in 1994, the Epping Ongar Railway preservation society trust decide to reopen the railway as a preserved railway, which is currently operate by EOR's Class 117 DMU. The railway hope the Holden F5 Trust will rebuilt the Holden F5 replica for the railway, and we will once again see the F5 steam engine operate the Epping Ongar steam Railway.
The original background music of this video is "The Island Song" from Thomas the Tank engine & friends, but some viewers claimed the music was not appropriate to my video, so I audioswapped to a music called "Greensleeves".

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that Wilson Worsdell designed the F5 and Holden the F6.

  • @peter2ch Actually Thomas William. Worsdell designed the F5, while Wilson designed the Aerolite. And F6 was designed by S.D. Holden. ;)

  • so whats current on the actual project? last time the site was updated was over a year ago... ._.

  • @trainlover658 I'm sorry I haven't heard from them since last year, at the same time, I'm a bit busy with my university works. The chairman of the project is Steve Cooper. You might like to ask him or to join the F5 Trust, then you will recieve the newsletters from them as soon as it becomes available.

  • @kabukikitsune There were plans to continue northwards to Dunmow and eventually

Bury St Edmunds, but in 1861 a competing railway blocked this with an east/west line through Dunmow from Braintree to Bishops Stortford.

  • @Yanamation ok then Id love to hear on the progress

  • @coolcon96 Well, I'm srry that i'm no longer making "other" video productions, I'm starting to producing animation production instead. I might send you some updates if the line hav obvious big changes, or you could visit our website: eorailway.co.uk/

  • @Yanamation Thats great if i subscribe can you keep me updated on things like that.

  • @coolcon96 Well, Although there is no passenger halt in Coopersale, it provides travellers with an opportunity to experience a bit more of the journey towards Epping. However, we hav future plans to built station halts one at Coopersale village, and another one near the present LU station as a new terminal.
