Damn way he haven't got a title shot yet?! I don't understand he went throw about everyone. Nate Diez was his only lose and he controlled him in that fight until he got caught in a submission.

@MacMood55 Please.. count.. how many take down attempts were made during that 2minute fight between Roller and Guillard? "All guida does is hug you for 3 rounds"?!?!?! I've never heard any boo's during any of Guida's fights. You're comparing Roller (an average fighter) to Guida (a good, well-rounded MMA fighter)?! Do your homework before you leave another awful comment!

@TreeTrunk82 melivin would send guida's head out of the cage. Melivin's losses came when he was immature but now that he's dsiciplined he's much improved and his takedown defense is one of the best. Shane Roller couldn't take him down, Evan Dunham couldn't either. All Guida does is hug you for three rounds, but he can't do that to Melvin.

@conner1ize I agree.. Melvin has the potential. All I am saying is Melvin is not one of the elite grapplers in MMA. Jjohnson disagree's and argues about it like a bi+ch. Do you really think Melvin Guillard and Josh neer are ufc's elite grapplers? If you do, I highly disagree with you too.

@TreeTrunk82 i know shitloads of blue belts from my gym who are able to hang with higher purple even some bjj brown belts, it depends on the coach really if their trying to make a quick buck and give out belt ranking for clientel purposes or the other coach like mine whove dedicated their life to the sport cus their passionate about it. either way melvins first bjj coach was dog shit lol but jacksons n all that talent can up someones game fast....WE SHALL SEE

@jjohnson218 Why would you think that? Almost all of melvin's losses were by submission. He was choked out by fighters who aren't good grapplers (example Josh Neer). Melvin only has a blue belt in BJJ. Clay beats up wrestlers and BJJ BB fighters. They both became a lot smarter fighers, but clay's conditioning is probably the best in mma. Melvin's takedown defense has improved, but Clay is an elite wrestler! I don't think Guillard is at that level yet, although the potential is definitely there.

@jjohnson218 Neer & Guillard grapplers?! Name 1 good grappler they EVVVVER submitted!? Name 1 decent fighter they've ever controlled on the ground?! It doesn't matter how many fights Neer had, I'm judging his skills. Kurt pellegrino took him down whenever he wanted (effortlessly). Good wrestlers don't let that happen! Where is Neer now?! In the little leagues! Greg jackson "caught him (Guillard) up on his BJJ!" Really!! A blue belt is caught up?! You're very ignorant! End of convo!
