If you need/want to use multiple monitors however lack the video connections or video card to do so, you can easily use various USB video converters to extend your desktop to up to 6 monitors. http://sewelldirect.com/Sewell-Minideck-USB-to-DVI-Display-Adapter.asp

  • I have an Emerson 40 inch HDTV with a hdmi on the back, none of the others, and my laptop has VGA and USB, what would be my best option to get my laptop and hdtv hooked up,?

I have no cords at the moment, and am looking for the best quality picture i can get onto my tv, if you could share a link to a item that would work best for me, that comes with an adapter and all the cords with it, please do!

  • @WertyBertyful @WertyBertyful The HD deck would work well for you. It includes the USB cable and you just need to get a standard HDMI cable. The other option would be to convert the VGA with something like the Sewell Hammerhead again, just adding an HDMI cable.

  • Is the streaming for videos and movies fluid? Because a friend connects directly from hdmi port on pc to hdmi on hdtv and it kinda freezes. I mainly want it to watch movies from my pc and listen to my music on a broader sound.

  • @KandyeKaramelo If a direct HDMI to HDMI connection from the computer isnt getting a fluid picture then the USB device would not be able to. It sounds like there is a speed issue with the computer not being able to process the HD video or something along those lines.

  • Is it possible to connect all the usb graphic cards to one usb-hub and plug that to the pc? would that work?

  • @rhoydal That generally doesn't work since you get bottlenecked at the single USB portion of the run.

  • @sewelldirect Alright, thanks for quick answer. Did not actually think that was possible though, but it would had been a extremely simple and cheap "dock-station"
