Gary Yourofsky has spoken to thousands of students about the true meaning of animal rights. Gary's powerful and enlightening message has been heard by more than 60,000 students in 170 middle schools, high schools and universities nationwide, including UTEP, U. of Florida, Georgia Tech and Fresno State. Gary uses thought-provoking prose, inspiring stories, indisputable facts, quotes from Pythagoras, William Ralph Inge and other great thinkers, plus graphic footage from slaughterhouses (land and sea), to ask people to be kind to animals and, ultimately, go vegan.

Vegans, don't be bothered by the terrible arguments of meat eaters. I know you're likely all vegan for very selfless reasons. I'm sorry meat eaters aren't thanking you for trying to make the world better for their children, but just remember....meat eaters are addicts, just like when I was still smoking cigarettes. Addicts will do or say anything to justify continuing their addiction. Thank you for being vegan.

This is another very rude awakening & what made me give up dairy altogether. The reason why Pythagarus, Einstein, & other great thinkers have turned vegan is that they have taken an abstract view of animal agriculture & deemed it insane. Make no mistake your health will improve within a week if you give up dairy. If the subsidies for meat & dairy were taken away the industry would collapse, that is why even with subsidies you find derelict dairy farms all over Britain & they blame the wildlife!

All that we consciously choose to consume, we consume for our souls. We kill many helpless things every day.... I honestly can't conclude what is RIGHT to say... Or know if what I am saying is WRONG... But I believe in The Way of life.... There is balance.... And only love... And light.... Xoxoxox

Love and gratitude for each and every meal we consume. Animal: pray for the animal, thank the animal, thank the creator of the animal for giving you food you wish to eat.... Plant-based food: also send out positive messages to the universe that you are indeed grateful... I can only simply say I do think the Creator Himself did not want us to fight over right and wrong. He just created for us to simply live. And the way we live is entirely a spiritual experience, as long as we are grateful for

What is a really awesome nutrient that a lot of us lack is LOVE. Whether we consciously choose to eat meat or not, we must accept the way of life. We must love each other. Without gratitude/showing respect for any meal out in front of us, the meal itself is not beneficial. We are feeding our ego, not our souls. I am quite confused at this stage in my life. What did God consider RIGHT? What did the Divine spirit/creator consider wrong? Absolutely nothing. Just lessons. I think we should practice

There's one thing animals have, that plants (most of them) don't have. a conscience

So....you're suggesting people should all just eat dirt and sand? I hear this argument all the time from meat eaters, and I have to say it's the dumbest argument for any side of any topic I've ever heard in my life. If you can't tell the difference between a plant and an animal, you need some serious help.
