this was good thanks. the first time my chicken was wayyy too tender. it was like rubber. i think i used too much bourbon. this recipe came out better when i didn't let it sit for too long.

what happens if i use bourbon and cola? (premixed drink) has anyone tried it? I'm from new zealand and we dont have bourbon chicken. An american friend of mine was talking about it and I really want to try it. It looks amazing! But I dont even know what its supposed to taste like :S

Can something non-alcoholic be used in place of the bourbon? BTW love your channel....you really do a great instructional video. My 10 year old daughter and I made your Honey Walnut Chicken last night and it was out of this world delicious. Thank you!

@MotoXwife The bourbon actually gives this dish most of it's flavor; and the alcohol burns off as it boils. You could use chicken broth or vegetable broth in place of it if you wish, but it will change the flavor a bit.
