1. WOKR Channel 13 Rochester, NY (ABC)--Promo for Bowling For Dollars--I WISH Philadelphia had this show! It looked like a fun game show!
2. ABC logo for the 1976-1977 season, when ABC ruled television!
3. 1976 Bubble Yum--It's the debut of the infamous "Flavor Fiend" and he's pestering that kid for his yummy Bubble Yum! One of the earliest commercials I remember! The Grape flavor was the best, but always a killer to chew!

**These commercials are from my 1977-83 Commercials volume 2 set**

  • Watch out for the spider eggs in the bubble yum

  • I remember when Bubble Yum first came out and my grandmother brought me a pack and I chewed a piece every day but saved the last two for my older and younger brothers. We were not allowed to chew gum with sugar in it we had to chew CareFree gum. Oh how I miss the 70's.

  • Sadly I can never remember anything important, but I still remember this song word for word from when I first saw it. Thanks for posting it.

  • That was so___ooo coo........l. back when the commercials were great. back when you knew a product by its slogan. Thanks for posting Genius. I am Enjoying watching them.

    Skyler

  • @MrDeCorey Real, dumbass.

  • The good old days back wen Commercials were reel.

  • It would've been a nice touch to have the WABC Channel 7 logo with a V/O for something like "Eyewitness News, tonight at 6," after the Bubble Yum ad.

  • Philly/Atlantic City area folks used to get WWOR channel 9 pre-cable, and WOR had Larry Kenny hosting the NYC version of Bowling for Dollars in the late 70s. Pittsburgh's version was hosted by Nick Perry on WTAE ABC around the same time frame, but Nick ended up getting arrested for rigging the Pa. Lottery by forcing 666 to be the winner three-digit number sometime in 1980, and BFD was cancelled shortly there-after.
