Lots of programmers use macs. People who want to get shit done don't usually have time for silly brand loyalties and fanbase rivalries, they just use whatever works for them.

The mac vs. PC war is pretty much the exclusive domain of teenagers with limited resources who can't afford to play around with hardware from both companies.

True, I've never considered them a good value option (since I replace machines sooner than they fall apart anyway, Apple's 10-year build quality isn't much to me). The thing is, for Mac or Linux development, a Mac can do it just as well as a PC, so people with disposable income might as well (I know several that do).

What really stinks is this popular notion that you literally can't program on a Mac, like Macs run on fairy dust instead of code, or something. It's hilariously ill-informed.

nonetheless, none of the programmers i know use macbooks. I know quite a few. If your looking for good hardware, apple is essentially THE most expensive option. They make good computers, i have simply never been convinced that they are worth it.

actually using the notepad is a old school method that is and was used by windows users.Personally i use code blocks in linux and that is available for all os's.regardless if you want to pay out of the ass for shit tier-get a mac, if you want performance for a reasonable fee-get pc.

Bottom line is we are all fanboys, as long as we rely on system 1 of thinking (which we all do aka heuristics and biases) so a fanboy getting pissed at other fanboys is just a run of the mill on youtube and you should be the last person to patronize others who give valid reasons behind why another operating system/hardware is complete horseshit (from any perspective of a consumer or a logical thinker) rethink your life and the the tools you utilize.

sounds like that is coming from a rich under aged kid who has no recollection of programming knowledge and likes to get buttfucked by osx/mac.Yes there are programmers who use anything, overlooking the hardware, the true programmers who want shit done will use linux or windows.however even though windows is almost as bad as osx, atleast anything you want (like most of the 3rd party software) will work on windows where as most of the time your shit will not be compatible with osx.(cont)
