I am saying that when people think "domestic violence" they think of something that an abuser does to a victim. Men are seen as less authentic victims, but there usually is no authentic victim if the subject is domestic violence. If the subject is abuse, then we are talking about something else, and we can start with the assumption that one party is the victim, but now we are talking about something relatively rare and less understood.
