  • how did you connect the handles together.. i mean the pins that go through the center. that hold the handle to the actual blade. ive heard a few different methods but this looks like really clean

  • @jeffcon123 The pins aren't there to hold the handle on, they add strength to the handles though, particularly in the event the knife is dropped. They are secured in place along with the handles using a 2 part epoxy. Once the handles are sanded to about the thickness you want, go ahead and peen the tops using a ball peen hammer, very gently. You'll want to slightly mushroom the tops of those pins to give it added holding strength. You have to be very careful not to damage the handle material...

  • Even though the lapiz wasnt lined up u did a awesom job, so hold ur head high or ill go to ur home and kick ur butt... Abd steal the knife!

  • @TheTinyWhale Thanks, Tiny. I do still like the knife very much and get good use out of it; just can't sell it. In terms of kicking my butt though...just want to point out that I do have a very sharp knife, LOL.

    Take care,

    Jason

  • nice knife, but where did you get that sanding attachment for your drill press!?! that would make my life so much easier if i had one of those!!! i should show you some of the work that i've done with knifes, that is at least when i get my f***ing forge done so i can heat treat them.

  • @mainetrapper Thanks, those sanding drums can be picked up a Harbor Freight tools for a few dollars. I've seen them at wal-mart as well.

  • Beautiful knife handle. Great job. thanks for your videos

  • awesome knife work

thanks for the video, man :)

  • WOW! That is a clean looking knife. Its really too bad about the scales not lining up on the spine but oh well, you still did a very good job. What type of wood did you use, is that an 'end-grain' cut? What ever it is, it looks awesome with the damascus blade.

    *Thumbs up*

  • @JasRobe well i k ow ju jutsu xD ill kick ur but anyways ;D good luck in the future!
