To popenyc: Our discussion appeared to be a diatribe. That was not my intent. I'm happy for you and your progression from drug dealing to selling real property. You may since the anger in my writing b/c I witnessed a childhood friend get busted on Waverly and Greene for selling drugs in Clinton Hills. He's now doing 30 years under some RICO law. This was a friend I grew up with in Vanderveer Projects in East Flatbush. Once again, best wishes to you.

@popenyc I mentioned Negroes because I saw Blacks selling drugs to their own people while I worked as an attorney on Waverly Avenue. And yes, I'm Black too. You sound like you're stuck on being poor in the 80s. Personally, I have a friend on Waverly btn Lafayette and Dekalb, his co-op is over 5000 sq feet. In the 80's it appraised for 700k, now it appraises for 2 million. You don't seem to understand, some people valued their homes in the 80s and kept up their value - in Clinton Hills

@popenyc Listen. I'm from Brooklyn. I lived in Brooklyn most of my life, and yes, the Brownstones were worth 500k and up. I personally know "white people" who sat on their property and refused to sell to Blacks because of our limited mentality and lack of cash, and how we made neighborhoods seedy. The statement I initially made was Fulton and St James is in Clinton Hill and NOT Bed-Stuy. Just because there are poor people on St. James does not change its location.

@fnkdrmmr and who said anything about negroes asshole.i bought 2 houses in williamsburg last yr. from 2 white crackhead families (2 FAMILIES ON CRACK IN 2 HOUSEHOLDS). The whites moving in the hood wanted them out and they sell it to me, a "negroe" that use to sell drugs, refuses to wear a suit and tie, but can still go to meetings and collect big checks, go to dinner at the homes of jews, arabs, and whites!!!! AND they let me find tenants for them, black or white, as long as they have green

@fnkdrmmr u still comparin 2 eras and areas...north of gates and east of wash (clinton hill) is more $ than south and west of gates and wash (fulton, atl, dean, pac)...i dont think u know what you're talkin about...no house in clinton hill or bed stuy was worth 800k in the 80's, early 90's, only buildings... you must be new to BK, your not from there....i been buyin and sellin property here for at least 8 yrs, before that i spent 5 yrs learning the game....

@popenyc Thirdly, I brought a Brownstown on Washington Avenue btn Gates & Green Avenues. I paid $200k for the house, but the house appraised for $800k - the owner simply wanted to sell fast and gave me a good deal. Lastly, just because negroes want to stand on a corner and sell drugs and watch the world go by, doesn't mean the rest of the world is doing the same.
