Voter Fraud (and what to do about it)

the easiest way to eliminate fraud is to use the existing proxy vote system. the principle/voter applies to have someone cast their vote on their behalf. for instance if all ron paul supporters applied for ron paul to be their proxy, then all votes for ron paul would be cast in one block by ron paul. he would know his vote total before the official count, and would know if there was fraud..

@Bantokfomoki no sir. that is a song abusive husbands like to sing "with out me you would be dead". i dont buy it though. if all the suddon i didnt have to pay so much taxes, and the taxes i did pay i had a choice were it went i dont think i would run into the streets with a burning torch to start looting and lynching.

@scramblethink Yes, if it were really wanted ... this could be tweaked into a near perfect system. Presently, there is no push for any significant change.
I would choose Paul - Judge Nap.. So many things could be better then they are today if industry powers didn't stifle ingenuity.
Something else thats a no brainer are getting rid of PHYSICAL text books for school... some of books cost 300-500$ that about the price of a ipad..I dont know why but this video reminded me of how dumb school text books are in 2012.

@Concept0000 When the government removes the "market cap" to anything (by paying for it without limit) ... demand goes up ... and ... the price goes up. So, a school book that costs $30 to produce jumps over time to $300 because ... they can get it from the 'gubment'.

we were talking about this just the other day. i consider the same thing however to go a step further. eliminate the government altogether and replace it with an online format. a decent paid public employee comes up with option plans for budget spending. the country then votes online for the one they feel suits them best. or a replan if need be.

@matttatts A "pure" democracy is logically equivalent to appointing the most average person to a dictatorship ... and ... that person would be uninformed about the issues in principle. It's just a prescription for total disaster.
What's needed are full time, honest, representatives. The central problem of politics is how to get them into office ... or ... as I've often put it ... "Who says what goes?".

@Bantokfomoki im sorry but i humbly disagree. say for instance the vote is to spend on A: better roads. B: better schools C: better hospitals D: recount . now if we get say 60% for A. 30% on C. 25% on B and the rest on recount. 60% of the aloted funding would go towards A. 30% would go to C and so on. its my oppinion that the government system has shown through history that men are coruptible. trying the same experiment over and over hoping for diffrent results is folie on our parts i think.
