The documentary film Give to Live will explore charitable giving, foreign aid and its effects in Africa.  By examining the psychological aspects of giving for the donors and recipients, the economic impact of charity and foreign aid, the social impact of compassion, as well as various ways to serve domestically and abroad, this project (which is currently in production) shall take the film team to Kenya and Tanzania late 2009 with the aim of creatively cultivating conversation and action.

Give to Live will do much more than just explore the harsh realities of life in Africa; it follows the efforts of Americans as they struggle to address injustice on the African continent and documents the actual effect of their efforts on the people in Africa. The aim of the project is to give people hope and incentive to take on these global issues in the most effective, sustainable, and thoughtful way possible. By showing individuals who are using their talents and resources to positively address world injustice, the shortcomings of traditional foreign aid, and the individual and social benefits of compassion (combined with the creative use of spoken word, interpretive dance, and animated digital cartoons) the film team hopes to enable, inspire, and empower the audience so that the obstacles that prevent individuals from living a compassionate, charitable lifestyle are lessened.
