(I know there's no audio... :()
Entirely made in Blender and with the use of Gimp for background, I made this portfolio for the Project Durian.
I consider it a base version, because it was made in one month and using Ubuntu for the first time, so some (little and boring) problems were encountered!
Next time there will be textures and materials and more and more details and the real creature design that wasn't completely implemented!
Stay tuned.

  • amazing job !! very hi res or at least it looks like it. i have the skill to do something like this but i can never think off a desgin. do you just model and do it as you go or do you plan it out.

  • Thanks for your comment!

You need a good plan in the beginning, you know, the idea (a giant scolopendra in an attack pose), some rough sketches, a lot and a lot of photo reference and a lowres mesh.

Then you can feel free to experiment new shapes in scultping session, which is the most funny part of the game!

  • Matty, thanks for your words!

I appreciate your suggestion: I'm thinking about a fantasy knight, but more far to be a human.

I have some idea, but actually it's a bit blurred.

Anyway, stay tuned and you'll see!

    Thanks again.

  • Very amazing work.

  • bel lavoro, si aspetta le texture...

  • Nice! It reminds me Gears of War!

  • amazing, well done

  • you should put some animations

but realy good modelation work ;D

  • Wow, I found you with a related youtube link, and I must say, you have one of the most creative minds I've seen in Blender. This work is incredible.

  • If you have the skill then just pick something that already exists and start from there.

Say... make a spider. If it works, then look at pretending it was genetically modified in a lab with the DNA of a bat and give it some bat wings...

Just make something from an existing real-world creature / object, then modify it with something else.

A dog with wings even... if you want it evil looking, model it after a Hyena.

I suck at this stage but hope to get higher level of skills.

  • great concepts and sculpting!

  • O.O Amazing!

  • That's some great sculpting there :O
