The video was made from the Australian Documentary, "The Essence of the Game" which was produced by Rob Dickson, who was tragically killed in a car accident shortly after the release of this documentary.
In January 2008 the Peres Center for Peace launched a project to create a joint Palestinian-Israeli Peace Team to compete in the AFL (Australian Football League) International Cup in August 2008 in Australia.
This ambitious project brought together a diverse group of Israeli and Palestinian players with different backgrounds, religions and political beliefs. Many of them had never heard of, let alone played, Australian Rules Football. In the short time that the players trained together, friendships and partnerships formed.
The Peace Team won two out of their five games, beating China and Finland, and demonstrated that everyday Israelis and Palestinians could play together and trust each other.
@mikhailalterman Get a grip buddy, this 'cute effort' seems to be a whole lot more than you could muster while perched on your high-horse...
This initiative is an amazing step, although minuscule, towards some kind of mutual respect and understanding.
Also, it's not rugby..

The rugby team video is an example of how this conflict is NOT going to be solved. The coach buying beers???!!! When then, we have no conflict to solve: jihadists, who are the cause of the conflict don't drink. So 'A' for cute effort, 'F' for understanding and helping to resolve the conflict.
