Reality check. No other living species has been able to develop technologies like space travel or cloning so without human survival all other lifeforms on earth are ultimately doomed to extinction anyhow sometime between now and when the sun becomes a red giant. Human technological growth is in fact life's best hope.

As much as I agree that overpopulation is a problem, this is way out of left field and doesn't stand up to about 3 minutes worth of logic. How anyone can take it seriously is beyond me.

@Texasjim2007 Yeah because the technology that will enable space travel will obviously exist before we kill each other due to wars caused by shortages of natural resources and cloning will become the norm because the religious and conservatives will just change their minds about it. Humans can't even get along with and help one another let alone build a damn space ark and go to another planet.
