This video is from April 6th, 2009, 5 months after my hair transplant surgery on November 6th, 2008. I show some before and after fades showing the differences I am seeing now. Dr. Cotterill told me it typically it takes about a 8 months to a year after a hair transplant to see full results. I'm happy so far and I'm at month 5! If you have questions about my hair transplant experience, just fire me a note. I'll try to respond to all of them.

  • I stopped with updates because there isn't much more to tell at this point :) If you want to see the actual surgery it's on DrPaulCotterill channel.

  • I am not taking propecia. (Don't like pills). And I may be paying for it. I have thinned since I got the transplant. But the transplant honestly bought me more time. I think I would be bald right now if I had not had it. So l am luck there. In terms of cost.... You're looking at anywhere from 3 to 10 grand. It depends on how many Follicular Units you get, to acheive the density you desire. Saying how much mine cost is in NO WAY going to help YOU. Get a quote! It's gonna be in the 1000s!

  • Hey Mark, just curious, what was your hamilton-norwood grade?

  • I had a 1400 grafts 4mths+1wk ago, but ATM I can only c no more than 400~500 newly hair grown in the recipient area and indeed I suffered much more hair loss on the edge of the recipient area, I hope it's a temporary thing. There is still obviously redness in the recipient area though. My head was so swollen and painful for nearly 2 weeks and I had to take two weeks off which originally I thought 4 or 5 days would do. I dunno if my HT decision was right, I will give myself another 4 mths to c

  • Thanks for posting! I had a HT about 2 months ago and still slightly notice tiny pinholes close to the hairline where grafts were placed. Did you also experience this and did it go away?

  • @jkoeni2 it depends of what type of skin u have my scar is so ugly and i'm lossing hair in my donor area so is too evident ,it sucks man!!! i'm just waiting for a medicine with no side effects like propecia to full my donor area and have another hair transplant that'd be only my hope..!!!!.

  • Mark, I have about the same hair loss as you did, just got 2200 grafs 3 weeks ago....have black hair, so wanted to know how many grafts you got to compare my expectations? Also got some hair loss shock, so i kind look to have more hair l0ss now than before surgery.

  • @Freedomcostmoney ok thanks for the reply and info

  • @jkoeni2 Yes it leave's a scar but the scar will heal after time and slowly start to fade away. It's so undetectable it's as thin as a pencil line. The existing hairs will grow over it so you can camouflage it.

  • when they remove the hair from the back of your head, is there a scar and does it go away?

  • THANKS FOR THE HINT

  • HEY

  • PR0PECIA causes PERMANENT lMPOTENCE !!!

AV0lD it at all costs !!!!
