My uncle was a marine tank crewman on one of the 8 flame tanks that were used on Iwo. The few stories he told of the battle were pretty horrific. What a terrible war that ended the lives of so many men. And to the survivors, who were forever changed by the trauma they faced, you sacrificed much. RIP to the lost and the dead.
