I'm one of the unlucky one's who wasn't diagnosed when i was a child then stupid enough to take up smoking about 6 years down the line the s*it hits the fan. Now I'm having asthma attacks every morning waking me up which is the worst time of the day to be awaken by such a horrid feeling of not able to get a full breath in , I've had them to the point where I'm getting dizzy n faint because of the lack of breath.i have it worst with temperature change just opening a door can trigger one.

I take DHEA-I have a truly horrible co-morbidity of Emphysema AND Asthma. I have learned how to rebound and keep a bit of salt handy in my purse. I have learned how to "breathe" properly, and I also make sure I have a Benadryl I can chew in an emegency. I am ill-but very active. "Guafienisene" is a mucous-thinning medication you can buy OVER THE COUNTER-will also help. Best Wishes-I learned how to breathe through the nose when feeling "wheezy" also. I stay vitaminized too.

#3.
The before said were horrible episodes, but yet, not even compared to what happened a few months before, that was something I can't explain like I wish I could. I was eating icecream while smoking a cigarette. Out of the blue, my whole throat (or entrance to the lung?) -closed! and each time I tried to breath, the worse it got. This lasted for about several minutes until I could put myself together.
It was aspiration (I had to learn how to drink and how to eat).

Three times in different ocations I had three attacks at work (that was before I even thought of asthma and therefore without an inhaler).
I was on my knees without even being able to breath. It felt as if an insect stung me in the back of the throat.
Well, as it came it went.
I figured it was a combination of dry mouth and the exposured to an A/C air vent in close range. During nights, I snored, cough and whistled (more than coughing).
