When the Dumb-ol-Crats won House control in '06, THAT is when the Sh_t hit the fan, and Bush was rebuffed at every turn to regulate these Housing entities. Obama's good buddy, Franklin Raines, bilked & milked a severance pkg. bonus of $90 MILLION to leave Fannie!!!! Prison would be where we all would be had we done what he did, and what the Dumb-ol-Crats did in ignoring the crisis. SH_T hit the fan right after the time the "D's" took control in '06. That is FACT. No disputing the chronology.

One comment: Pres. Bush DID send Treas.Sec.Snow up to Capitol Hill (it's verified true on YouTube) trying to "clamp down" on Fannie and Freddie, or as Snow stated, "we face a severe crisis by not tightening regulations" (on Fannie/Freddie). George W. sent his Treas.Sec'y 3 times to Capitol Hill, but was rebuffed by Maxine Waters, Kendrick Meek, Barney Frank & Christopher Dodd--all inept or corrupt! Questioning Franklin Raines, Obama's Fannie CEO buddy, was tantamount to "racism," per Maxine.

That may not be what you said, but that's what Democrat pundits were saying at the time. Also, those tax cuts brought more revenue into the treasury, even John F. Kennedy new this principle to be true. The only problem has been that they OVER SPEND what the bring in. TAX CUTS are not the problem. Tax cuts INCREASE revenue, it just when the increase takes place our elected officials like to spend MORE THAN they bring in.
