  • And you're holding the camera in your left hand. That's freakin' crazy, dude. Nice job.

  • @DBJCobb

Not even going down hill, it's already at 10,000 rpm.

Mine doing 90 at the track sounds like it wants to blow, can't imagine pulling another 10-20 mph out of it.

  • the DR65 does read 10% fast unfortunately. I don't know why manufacturers feel they need to do that.

My speedo showed 178-180 kph when the GPS showed 161-162 kph with me flat on the tank.

So they'll do the genuine "ton" but it takes an effort and no headwind.

Great bike though.....top speed matters less than cruising ability considering what it's meant for.

  • wow i did not think a 1 cylinder bike could go that fast.must be a scary ride being so light must blow around in the wind

  • With the stock sprockets, I could get 110 mph out of my DR 650, but that was with my feet on the rear pegs, laying flat on the gas tank and wearing a full face helmet with a face shield. With a 14 and 46 sprockets the bike will run 93 mph with me sitting up straight, wearing an open face helmet.

  • going 100mph on a dr650 one handed? waaah. When I got that fast I have to hold on for dear life getting blown around.

  • I have an '01 that would do 105mph as it came from the factory.

Now rejetted, a pipe, 14 tooth front and 46 tooth rear sprockets it will still do 96-98 mph.
