A new project from acclaimed American multimedia performance artist Laurie Anderson. A "concert-poem," Homeland questions the current fears of Americans, their obsession with security and their increasing loneliness and loss of freedom. Winner of the 2007 Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize and the first artist-in-residence at NASA, Anderson is internationally recognized for her groundbreaking use of technology. Commissioned by Luminato and The Barbican Centre, London; Cal Performances at UC Berkeley; Melbourne International Arts Festival; Society for the Performing Arts, Houston, Texas; and the University of Florida, Gainesville. The Music Hall.

  • I met Laurie Anderson after her "Strange Angels" show at Indiana University in 1990 and again after her show a few years later at the Murat Temple in Indianapolis. She was so awesome, staying outside the stage door until she had met all the fans. I worship her and I am so happy to see that she has a new project coming out! "You should lurk...L-U-R-K, lurk!"

  • Laurie Anderson isn't an "Artist" ... she's a "Religion".

  • whats the second song called? anyone know?

  • @christopher710 She might want people to buy the CD.

  • Happy Birthday Laurie

  • q importa?

  • This video is annoying when it keeps switching between songs.

I really dig the music..... then it switches on me!

I want to see the whole thing! Anyone got a link????

  • bien-touché- Raymantico, mais à même temps I'm afraid you've just exposed a sense of esthetics which I guess makes you vulnerable to a lot of phenomena that equally may disturb your trained ear for tunes, once cultivated in a certain way (I speak from experience, same background - so whose square....?)

what about the beauty of her frailty as she sings, being consciously vulnerable, and making an important contrast to the illusion of being secure?.... which this concert is also about...? ;-)

  • Au contraire, mon square...I urge everybody to comment often...

singing into a microphone, not so much...
