@eqsmooth This is fusion man. Also, Guthrie's opinion definitely carries a little more weight than yours dude.

killer CD! I wish these two would get together again and do another one

@Hardy Fusion. Why not look the word up in a dictionary? Who needs a lesson? It has nothing to do w/ a LACK of anything. Fusion is blending, not separating. When I listened to The Dregs, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Al DiMeola I was playing in a band one might call jazz fusion. This piece is mostly rock but I heard a samba beat. Nothing jazz about it. Definition of fusion: a style of music that blends disparate genres; especially types of jazz. Where are the types of jazz here?

@eqsmooth See my previous comment. Fusion is simply a lack of one specific style of music. Guthrie Govan explains that clearly in one of his youtube lessons. I'll take his opinion above yours if that's ok. This is neither rock, nor jazz, so what else could you call it?
-
@Hardysamnin WTF? Where did you go to music school? This seems pretty basic 4/4 stuff w/three guys w/ electric stringed instruments showing off their chops while a dude backs them up w/busy drumming. Rock circle jerk. Boring. I was over this non-songwriting in the 90's. What are they fusing?
-
Fusion is just the freedom to do whatever you want and not adhere to any particular style, so yes, this is fusion, end of story.

@deliriouscouture poison era...explains everything.
