@joeyzola I definitely don't consider other nations "ahead" just because they have manned spaceflight. The US is way ahead of them all. NASA is still launching highly successful probes and one of their rovers has been exploring the surface of Mars for more than 6 years now. Some of these other countries can barely get their probes out of the Earth's atmosphere. Who's to say NASA couldn't reuse the 50 year old Apollo probe if they wanted to, like Russia reuses the Soyuz. They just don't need it.

@455200930 He was declined Immigration for "other reasons".

@joeyzola "Ahead" of the US? Is that really the right choice of words there, sir? The US leads in everything space related. End of story...
"SHUTTLE" is wrong. It was a satellite launch vehicle. China's space program as of July 2011 has launch capabilities and a manned program ahead of the USA.(America has all but shut down operations at NASA and have no vehicles capable of manned-mission launches) Russia is ahead in manned launches, China, India and Japan all have planned missions, France leads in satellites and Brazil has their own program. Laugh if you want but facing reality might be a better plan.

@SnugglePuma Since the USA no longer HAS a Manned Flight program any nation that does would have to be considered ahead IN THAT CATEGORY. The US has been a force in the Space Race but budget cuts and growing technology in other countries have levelled the field. Like the Hare and the Tortoise, the US Space Program has gone to sleep and the World has caught up. Nothing is "over" or "lost". Like driving on a freeway sometimes you pass and sometimes you get passed, but traffic doesn't stop there.
